Scenario: The Seasonal Retailer
A retailer operates 30 pop-up stores during the Christmas season — November through January. Each store has a kiosk terminal with a ProxyPass node for remote management.
In a flat monthly billing model, they would pay for 30 nodes for 3 full months = 90 node-months. With ProxyPass pro-rata billing, they pay for exactly the days each node is active. A store that opens November 15 and closes January 10 pays for 57 days, not 3 months.
The graduated pricing tiers still apply. Nodes 1-99 at €5/node/month, 100-199 at €4, 200-399 at €3.50, 400+ at €3. The daily rate is derived from the monthly tier price. As you add nodes and cross tier boundaries, the pricing adjusts accordingly.
